Become A Wakefield AFC Shareholder

Wakefield Association Football Club Ltd now seeks investment to deliver its targets and is looking actively at conventional share sale arrangements with businesses and supporters with immediate effect.

A release of 20,000 shares was originally agreed by the Board, and moving forward from the large investment, WAFC seek shareholders for these at £10 per share.

Wakefield is the largest City in the UK without a professional football team. Previous attempts to have a team centred in Wakefield floundered some years ago for a variety of reasons. The new Board of WAFC has taken note of these experiences and plans to build on this and win the hearts and minds of supporters and sponsors. There are circa 335,000 people living within the Wakefield District. Whilst the area has a strong tradition of rugby league, there are substantially more people interested in and playing football than rugby league. The numbers of junior football clubs in the area give the proof of this.

Already the club has established links with the Bermudan Football Association (BFA) through a signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The MOU encompasses school summer camps and talented Bermudan footballers playing at the Club.

In addition, Wakefield has strong support from FBT Thailand and from other potential sponsors there. Further links have been established between the Club and organisations in Australia, Belgium and Nigeria. These organisations have expressed an intention of working together to develop joint opportunities including summer camps for kids, coaching courses and inter-continental events.

More recently a wide-reaching partnership between Wakefield AFC and ZHUB Egypt has been signed. This will provide significant opportunities and pathways through an innovative relationship between the two parties.

Plans are underway for a Wakefield AFC academy in Cairo, Summer schools in the UK and regular recruitment of players and students from Egypt and the whole of the Middle East.

    This is a great news!
A professional football club is long overdue in Wakefield. I prefer to offer my allegiance to a local club rather than for a club 100 miles away.

  2. Wakefield deserve a successful football team. Wakefield will accomplish a great support base given time and investment. Looking forward to watching them play once again when the government permits at the millennium stadium in Featherstone
Where we will witness great entertainment and atmosphere
    Onward and Upwards Wakefield AFC.

It is a shame we are not playing from Belle Vue, but Featherstone Rovers is in the Wakefield District, so I am just has happy to support the club in any way I can.
